With many different window films available, why choose 3M?  Like many products on the market, window film comes in varying degrees of quality and pricing.  Here are a few reasons to invest in 3M window film over other manufacturer's such as LLumar or Panorama.  Have you ever heard of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics or CP Films?  Most likely you have at least 100 3M products in your home already.  3M is a Fortune 50 company that has been in business for 110 years and invented window film in 1966 and holds the original patent.  3M is the only window film company to make its own adhesives and manufacture its window film from start to finish.  3M is a world leader in adhesive technologies and its films are fast drying, have superb optical clarity, long-lasting bond and are simple to remove.  Along with being an expert in adhesives, 3M is also a leader in abrasion and its films consist of an exterior layer that is six to ten times more durable than film alone. They are maintenance free and can even be cleaned with...

When thinking about home security many homeowners only consider alarm systems and locks as a deterrent to intruders.  However, an alarm system allows ample time for a thief to enter a home and burglarize your home before the police arrive.  Most intruders enter the home by smashing a window and entering through the window or breaking the glas in the sidelites of a door and unlocking the door. 3M's Safety & Security film helps to prevent entry through a smashed out window by holding the glass in place, making it very difficult for thief to enter your home.  Safety and Security film is clear and does not change the appearance of your glass and can be cleaned with any common cleaner and paper towels.  3M also offers a film that combines the technologies of safety and security with sun control technology to help with safety concerns, as well as uv protection and heat and fade reduction.  To see a demonstration, please view the you tube video on our website www.tint-pro.com...

If you are a commercial building owner or facilities manager you know how difficult it is to keep everyone in your building comfortable.  Not only does everyone have a different comfort level when it comes to temperature, but the building has 4 different orientations to the sun, with the sun's position changing with the seasons. Combine that with computers and office machines that radiate heat, keeping the temperature comfortable becomes a challenge.  By applying 3M's Sun Control Window Film to the interior surface of the glass Tint-Pro is able to significantly alter the solar heat gain and glare coming in through the windows without changing the aesthetics of the building.  Because the films are light and passive Tint-Pro is able to apply films of different light transmissions to one side, floor or office of the building without affecting the aesthetics of the building while at the same time addressing solar heat and glare problems.  For more information see our website www.tint-pro.com

Hurricane and Earthquake all in one week! Did you know 3M and Tint-Pro can help protect you and your loved ones during natural disasters like these?  The weakest part of you home or business are your windows which during a natural disaster can shatter from flying debris or pressure on your frames and cause injury or death from flying shards of glass and leave you exposed to the elements. 3M's safety and security fim and sun control film solve this issue by holding the glass in the frame.  Check out our website www.tint-pro.com and You Tube video for a demonstration.

Low E windows have been available to consumers since 1979 and are popular in colder climates because they help to reduce heat loss.   Most Low E glass will reduce ultra-violet light by 40%-60%.  The "E" stands for emissivity which is the measure of a surfaces ability to absorb or reflect far-infrared  (non-solar) radiation.  Low-E glass works by reflecting heat back to its source.  It does this by utilizing an ultra thin metallic coating located inside the air space of insulated glass. Some Low E windows have argon gas inside of the insulated glass, which acts as an additional insulator. In most cases, windows being considered for window tinting get a lot of direct sunlight along with excessive heat gain.  Low E does not address heat gain and direct sunlight which are major causes of fading and temperature imbalance in the home.  Window film eliminates 99% of ultra violet light and absorbs and reflects the heat and sunlight (solar energy) helping to preserve furnishings and keep the home comfortable as well as...

Summer is in full swing with a heat wave upon us and the heat coming through your windows is wreaking havoc on your furnishings and hvac system.  Heat contributes 25% to the cause of fading and with all the heat coming through your windows your hvac system has trouble keeping up with demand. Blinds and shades are not effective for reducing heat load only eliminating sun glare and darkening your room. With a blind or shade the heat still comes through the window and escapes into the room around the blind or shade.  There are two ways to reduce heat and that is by absorbing and reflecting the solar energy.  3M's Sun Control Window films are designed to do exactly that.  Tint-Pro has many options that are light and passive to address the sun's punishing heat while allowing you to maintain your view.  Visit our website www.tint-pro.com to learn more.

A common misconception is that eliminating ultra-violet light reduces fading.  Ultra-violet light, however is only one component that contributes to fading. In order to slow accelerated fading there are other factors that need to be addressed. They are heat, which contributes 25% to fading, intensive visible light contributes 25% and artificial light, humidity, poor dye anchorage etc. which contributes 10%. 3M Sun Control Window Films are applied to the inside surface of the window and absorb and reflect
